Finding Your Storage Space

Can I rent in person or on the telephone?
You can give us a call at 843-525-6668 to ask questions or check availability by telephone. Lease agreements may be done by Fax, E-mail or in person.
What sizes self storage units do you have?

Our standard sizes range from 5’x10′ to 10’x20′ and are approximately 10’ high (all dimensions are approximate). We offer different size and each location, so please give our office a call for more details.

What’s the difference between an indoor unit and an outdoor unit?

Indoor units are protected from the elements and have broad hallways. Outdoor units are usually all on one level and frequently offer the convenience of drive-up access. CBC Self Storage Center properties offer both types of units.

Do you have climate-controlled units?

Yes. Climate-controlled units are designed to maintain a set temperature range of approximately 55-78 degrees using A/C and heat. In addition, humidity is maintained in a range to help preserve the integrity of your belongings. Climate-controlled units are available at our Four Seasons Self Storage location.

What is a drive-up storage unit?

A drive-up storage unit has a roll-up door and its own loading area. Just drive up to it and load your belongings in or out.

What is a roll-up door?

Roll-up doors are like garage doors – they roll up overhead for easy access. They are usually wider than swing doors, so it is easy to move things in and out.

Do you offer RV and boat parking?

Our Four Seasons Self Storage location provides boat, RV and utility trailer storage. Each customer has their own designated parking spot. All parking is located inside the gated and fenced property.

Moving Into Your Storage Space

Does CBC Self Storage Center provide locks? Do you keep a key to my storage unit?

No, we do not provide a lock for your storage space. You can purchase a new, sealed lock at the CBC Self Storage Center main office. No one else has a key to that lock – just you. If you prefer to provide your own lock, you’re welcome to do so.

Storage Space Lease Terms

Do you rent space month-to-month or do I have to sign a long-term lease?

Our rental contracts are month-to-month agreements – no long-term lease is required. However, if you know you are going to be renting for an extended period, be sure to ask our Property Manager about long-term lease incentives.

What kind of documentation do I need to provide to rent a storage unit?

You will need to provide a valid, government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver’s license, state ID or passport).

How do I move out?

The move-out process is easy: just empty your storage unit and let us know that you’re leaving. We’ll close out your account that day. As a courtesy, we ask that you give notice at least 10 days before your intended vacate date.

Do you require insurance on my stored goods?

You are responsible for the items that you store with us at CBC Self Storage Center, and insurance for your stored belongings is required. You may be covered under an existing insurance policy. Be sure to check with your insurance agent to verify that your items are protected, and provide us with a copy of our declarations page. For those without insurance coverage, or if you’re looking for a little more protection, affordable storage protection is available through CBC Self Storage Center.

Billing

Do you have automatic payment options?
Yes. You can sign up for autopay with our managers at move-in or any time during your stay. We’ll automatically deduct your monthly charges from a credit or debit card.
What if I’m late in making my payment?

We bill monthly and all payments are due on the 1st of the month. However, we provide a 5-day grace period before charging a late fee of $10 on the 6th of the month. If you don’t pay by the 16th, there is an additional $12 late fee assessed to your account. We also charge an additional $12 on the 26th of the month. To avoid the possibility of late fees, we recommend customers sign up for autopay, so that their payments are automatically taken from a debit or credit card each month.
